Sunshine's surfing shop was the hippest gathering spot on the East Coast for surfing equipment and partying supplies. No where else could you find the latest board designs or cutting edge beachwear.
John a.k.a. Sunshine wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed in fact you might say he suffered from a bad case of permafry brought on by years of smoking reefer and possibly one too many blows to the head from his own surfboard. Loud and boisterous sunshine was a popular guy on the beach with the newbies and of course he had dope connections that nobody else could match. if you are looking to smoke some out Alcopolco Gold or Maui Wowie sunshine was the go to guy on the beach.
Sunshine's stepdad was the local sheriff and was a straight shooter who was always bailing Sonny's ass out of trouble. On several occasions the sheriff found that being Sunshine's stepdad was more than he had bargained for and after Sunshines last fiasco and swore he was done bailing the boy out of trouble. if he hadn't been so in love with Sonny's mom "Janice" he would have hung the boys but out to dry a long time ago.
